Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 18th-century map of the Prince-Bishopric of Freising in Upper Bavaria. The large insert at the bottom shows the County of Werdenfels in the Bavarian Alps, which had belonged the bishopric since around 1300. The smaller insert lists the possessions of the bishopric, including remote ones not shown on the map.
This map, based on an earlier map by renowned cartographer Guillaume Delisle (or de l'Isle) was printed by the Dutch printer-cartographers Jan de Lat and Jacob Keyzer, who specialized in miniature atlas. Probably from their Atlas portatif published in 1747.
