Description
English: Bishop White House in Rose Valley Historic District, on the NRHP since July 19, 2010. District is roughly bounded by Ridley Creek, Woodward Rd., Providence and Brookhaven Rds. and Todmorden Ln. within Rose Valley Borough, Pennsylvania. This house, c. 1695, is on Old Mill Lane. Named for Bishop William White, chaplain to the Continental Congress, who lived here in 1793, avoiding the Yellow Fever Epidemic in Philadelphia. Many of the buildings in the district were designed by architect Will Price. On this house he added the porch and the tile roof. Rose Valley, PA
