Bishop Tozer's Chapel

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Old Marsh Chapel and schoolroom, Middlemarsh Road, Burgh le Marsh, Lincolnshire. Funded by William Tozer, former vicar of Burgh le Marsh, and built 1865–67 when he was bishop of Nyasaland. The ground floor was the schoolroom and the first floor was a chapel of ease. It closed in 1936 and was used by coastal defence units in the Second World War. It was derelict until 1983 when it was bought and restored as the premises of a family business.
