| Description |
English: The Bishajari tal is one of the best ramsar site that you can visit while in Nepal. Located at an altitude of 286m in the terai region it is a home to variety of wildlife and 543 species of birds, you can see different species of bird every other season that ranges from the local unique resident ones to 160 species of migrating ones some of which migrate all the way from siberia. It provides a holistic view of the world's geography letting you view the green hills and snow capped mountains of around 8000m high sitting just at an elevation of 286 m. You can see the Marsh crocodiles, four horned antelopes, porcupines and peacocks throughout the year and sometimes rare one horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger along with wild asian elephants also provide you their guest appearance. To add, it also harbors around 700 species of butterflies. |
