Description

The audio system. On the left are the various computers and whatnot controlling it all, as well as a mic (obviously for karaoke when they're not busy...or announcements), and on the right are the power amplifiers that power all the speakers.

The sound for the films aren't actually on the film itself, they're delivered separately as a 6 channel recording on a hard drive or DVD. The monitor on the left of the rack shows various information about the audio system, and is also used to start and stop the movie. The projector sends a pulse to the computer to inform it where it is, so the sound is always in sync.

The small computer on the far left is for the PowerPoint adverts that show before the trailers.
