English: Birmingham. Quite a collection of locks, here. Question: Re "Rules of the Road" for narrow-boating. In a situation like this where, I would imagine, not every lock would have a "pool" where boats can "cross", who has right-of-way - the climbing or the descending vessel?? And how is this arranged? I guess that there would be numerous examples of situations where the vessel at the bottom at the bottom of the ladder can't see the one at the top. |
