ooking out for me. Rasp-berries and strawberries were their favourite fruit. It wasmost laughable to see them each holding some up in one foot, while they were singing and making a great noise, with theirfaces covered with red juice. The correct food for them is white and spray millet, canary, and a little hempseed, and some oats now and then. They do not care for wheat or dari. They should have plentyof water, as some of them bathe a good deal in the sunnyweather. Some people give the Conures a bad name, and say theyare noisy and destructive, but I did not find them very bad inthis respect. Of course they scream a bit sometimes, it is onlynatural for them to do so, but on the whole they are verypleasant and attractive birds, and well worth keeping. In an evil moment I formed a wish to breed some Cardinalsand Budgerigars, so I parted with my favourites as I had notroom for all, but I have regretted it since, and often wonder ifthey are as happy now as when they were with me.
