This has beenstimulated, and the standard of work hasbeen raised by study of the new editionof the Associations Bulletin No. i, whichcontains specific instructions for makingbird-bo.xes, etc. The demand for thispamphlet (price 15 cents) is constant.Exhibitions of material of this kind, withbooks and pictures illustrating the localbird-life, and specimens of the injuriousinsects and bad weeds the birds aid us todestroy, are now a feature of agriculturalfairs in all parts ofthe country. Min-isters of ruralchurches are inter-esting the boys oftheir congregationsin such pursuits;and mothers clubsare turning to itas a profitableamusement for thechildren. These aresigns of progress inthe knowledge andlove of birds, andoffer encourage-ment to workers inthe Audubon field.
