Español: Esquema de una biopelesparita (caliza tipo Ibp de Folk) vista en lámina delgada al microscopio petrográfico.

Tipo de roca carbonática según sus componentes principales:

  • Calizas tipo I: aloquímicas esparíticas
  • Fosilíferas con pelets (bp).

Leyenda:

  • Fondo poligonal: cemento en mosaico (cristales de calcita).
  • Partículas azules curvas: bioclastos (fósiles indeterminados. P.ej. fragmentos de bivalvos).
  • Clastos grandes con forma de flecha: bioclastos (fósiles de belemnites).
  • Conos azules: bioclastos (fósiles de gasterópodos).
  • Esferoides negros: bioclastos (pelets)
