Bill Nye the Science Guy and actor Robert Picardo visited NASA Goddard on May 19th to film a video. They spent the morning talking about the James Webb Space Telescope with Dr. Amber Straughn. Here Nye takes a selfie with the Space Environment Simulator (or SES), which is a giant thermal vacuum chamber use to test spacecraft hardware. JWST's instruments were tested inside it.
