Description
English: A wooden carved sculpture of a Bilberry Bumblebee (Bombus monticola) and a Billberry (Vaccinium myrtillus). The statue was carved by Anthony Hammond, after being commissioned by the town of Leek's retired mayor Bill Cawley. It was carved using a chainsaw and from locally sourced oak. This photograph was taken in 2024, with the sculpture being displayed within Birches Gardens, Leek.
