Italiano: Questo strumento è formato da più componenti. La struttura principale è costituita da un'asta metallica verticale sorretta e tenuta in posizione da una pesante base a sezione circolare. Sulla base una vite micrometrica permette la corretta messa in postazione dello strumento. All'estremità superiore dell'asta è inserita orizzontalmente e asimmetricamente una piattina, anch'essa metallica, su un lato della quale è agganciata, tramite uno snodo a cuscinetti, l'asta di misurazione. A tale asta veniva agganciato l'oggetto da pesare che veniva poi immerso in un liquido contenuto in un vaso di vetro cilindrico fornito in dotazione. L'altra estremità della piattina è ricurva verso l'alto e porta l'indice per la determinazione della posizione di equilibrio Completano la strumentazione un insieme di piccoli accessori. Il tutto è conservato nella sua cassa originale in legno
