Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Big old houses at Honiley Apparently. These are the service wings of the original Honiley Hall, "a long, low gabled house of timber", late 16th or early 17th century, demolished around 1820. Now, subdivided as properties, they seem to frame the approach to the 18th century church, partly hidden by trees, right. The fences line the drive to the present Honiley Hall, built in 1914-15 in Neo-Tudor style and once again a private house after a spell in county council hands as a residential education and conference centre. Information from 'Warwickshire Country Houses' by Geoffrey Tyack, Phillimore 1994.
