Summary
[edit]DescriptionBig Four Bridge No 8 - 1898.jpg |
English: A swing bridge in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.
The bridge was completed in 1898. It was built for the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway. This bridge carried a spur of the railroad over the Cuyahoga River, connecting the main line on the Scranton Flats (west bank) with the rail yard and industrial spurs on the Columbus Peninsula (east bank). This bridge was torn down in 1900, replaced by a Scherzer rolling lift bridge. |
