Italiano: La Biblioteca capitolare di Verona è una delle più antiche biblioteche del mondo e tra le più importanti nel suo genere in Europa. Tra le sue mura molti studiosi hanno trascorso mesi di formazione, svolgendovi importanti ricerche. La biblioteca si trova nella zona medievale di Verona, vicino al ponte Pietra ed al Duomo di Verona del quale si vede il Campanile nella foto.
La parte più bassa del Campanile è romanica, quella mediana fu costruita nel '500 da Sanmicheli, mentre la parte superiore fu proseguita nel XX secolo dall'architetto Fagiuoli, ma non è stata condotta a termine. Il Campanile non è stato completato per temporanea mancanza di fondi. Vari progetti vennero presentati per terminarlo, ma ancora nessuno è stato attuato. |
