Y-chromosomal haplogroup tree re-interpreted to fit the Biblical account of universal descent from Noah's sons.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A Y-chromosomal haplogroup tree re-interpreted to fit the Biblical account of universal descent from Noah's sons.
  • Japheth's sons are typically identified with Europeans and are assigned the initial European haplogroups I and J.
  • Ham's sons are typically identified with Africans and are assigned the African haplogroups A, B, and E.
  • Shem's sons are typically identified with Asians and Caucasian Middle Eastern peoples and are assigned Haplogroup K and its subclades.
  • Some theories also equate Abraham's descendants with Indians and some White Europeans; therefore, Abraham is assigned the Indo-European haplogroup R. Many Jews along with a number of people in Israel dating back to Biblical times also had Haplogroup R (source).
