Description A Story of Redemption: This rooster lives within the confines of Thimphu’s dzong, which houses the royal chambers of the monarchy, as well as various halls and quarters of a Buddhist monestary and temple. The rooster’s life was spared when a passing stranger purchased it and saved it from the butcher’s axe. He brought it in from the rural areas of Bhutan and set it free within the dzong, where it will live the rest of its natural days under the protection of the king and nation’s head lama and religious leader.
