English: Bewdley Bypass Opening Commemorative Plaque This rather unattractive brick structure is situated in the car park for visitors to Blackstone Rock, off the A456, near the Bewdley Bypass. Its purpose is to commemorate the opening of the bypass in 1987. It bears a plaque but time and the elements are now making this difficult to read and in this photograph unfortunately it is impossible. No doubt the bypass and its associated bridge over the River Severn will still be here in a 100 years time, but whether this plaque and structure will be is perhaps more debatable. |
