| Description |
English: Bevere Lock The large locks on the River Severn can seem quite intimidating when compared with locks on narrow canals - at least that would be so were it not for the friendly lock keepers who are a mine of information about river conditions and suitable places to moor. The traffic light showing green indicates that it is safe to enter the lock, it normally shows red but when the lock keeper has seen an approaching boat and is preparing the lock it flashes red. |
