1969 Graduated from Karl Marx University of Economics, Budapest. 1965-1994 apprentice-journalist, then regular contributor at the Hungarian National Public Radio Italian Desk, then news editor, and from 1990 editor in chief of the Department of Programs in Foreign Languages and Hungarians Abroad. 1973-1990 Author of reports on dissent in Hungary for western news outlets, author and translator of articles and books for regular and underground Hungarian publishers. 1984-1989 Founding secretary, then program supervisor of the Soros Foundation in Hungary. 1989-1990 Anchorman of MTV’s late-night news. 1989 Host of a series of 12 Sunday shows on the 1956 Revolution. 1990 Host of a series of 12 Sunday shows on the Kádár régime. 1991-1992 Presenter of Central Express, a weekly Central European Video Magazine in English and French 1992-1994 Host of MTV’s morning show (NapTV – Sun TV) 1994-1995 Editor in chief of MTV News. 1995-1999 Host of a monthly round table of prominent intellectuals (Törzsasztal – The Table of the Regulars). 1999-2000 Host of MTV’s Sunday news analysis show (7 óra - 7 o’ Clock). 1995-2002 Reporter and editor of a TV documentary series on local conflicts throughout Hungary (Jani házhoz megy – Jani’s Door to Door Service)). 1997-2002 Host of MTV’s daily news background program (Aktuális - Topical). 2002-2006 Host of a late-night intellectual round table on MTV (Záróra – Closing Hour). 2002-2010 Host of a weekly TV program interviewing cabinet ministers after the regular meetings of the government (Kormányváró – Government Lounge). 2003-1009 Host of MTV’s morning show (Napkelte - Sunrise). 2006– Editor of Metazin.hu, an online international review in Hungarian. 2007-2008 Host of a late-night TV show with prominent scientists (Beszélgetés a Klubban – Club Talk). 2009-2011 Host of the morning show on MTV Hungarian Public Television (MaReggel – This Morning). 2011– Editor of BudaPost.eu, an online Hungarian press review in English and German. 2011-2014 Host of a current affairs talk show (Klubszoba – Club Room) on Duna TV. 2015– Editor of VILÁG, a weekly international video-magazine.
