Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The station (opened 4th December 1946) is an example of the "New Works Programme 1935 – 1940" style adopted by London Transport for its new tube stations. The original tiling was supplied by the Poole Pottery. The 2007 station modernisation program replicated the tiling with several panels of original tiling at platform level retained. A relief tile of Five Princess's (Buckinghamshire) can be seen in this picture, designed by Harold Stabler.
