Description
English: In spite of its unimpressive appearance on satellite imagery, with scant evidence of banding features and relatively disorganized deep convection, aerial reconnaissance data indicated that Bertha had intensified into a hurricane by the time of this image. At the time of this image, the system was moving toward the north near 17 MPH. This image was taken by GOES East at 1745Z on August 4, 2014.
