Description
Deutsch: Berlin, ehemaliger Lehrter Bahnhof. Winter 1970/71.
English: Photo by R. W. Rynerson, Winter 1970-71, shows the debris-heaped land of Berlin's Lehrter Bahnhof where a 1972 discovery indicates that Bormann died. This station for trains to Hamburg and Mecklenburg was not used by passengers during the Cold War and was left in rubble by its owner, the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In 2006 construction on the new Berlin-Hauptbahnhof (Union Station) filled this site.
