Deutsch: Behrenstraße.
Zustand: Juni 2012, von der Französischen Strasse aus gesehen. "Nur für kurze Zeit" so sichtbar; das Parkhaus gegenüber wurde abgerissen und man hatte über das Abrissgelände hin diesen Blick. --- Bis 1944 war hier das Metropol-Theater. 1947 wurde hier die Komischen Oper Berlin durch den österreichischen Regisseur Walter Felsenstein gegründet. --- Zwischen 1965 und 1966 wurde das Haus modernisiert. Nach Entwürfen des Architekten Kunz Nierade wurde die Fassade neu gestaltet.(Eine klassizistische Fassade, die den 4-Säulen-Tempel zitiert) Der unzerstörte Zuschauerraum ist in seiner Pracht der Gründerzeit erhalten. |
