Summary

[edit]
Description The airport building used to be the largest building (1.6 km long). It was mostly spared from the bombings during WW II because the allied forces intended to use it after defeating Germany. At Tempelhof airfield, Frenchman Armand Zipfel performed his first airshow in 1909 and Orville Wright beat world records by flying 172 meters high and 95 minutes long.
