Deutsch: Neptunbrunnen in Berlin-Mitte, 1888-1891 vom Bildhauer Reinhold Begas als eines seines Hauptwerke geschaffen. Der Brunnen ist ein Musterbeispiel Wilhelminischer Repräsentationskunst. Der Brunnen befand sich ursprünglich nahe dem Stadtschloss und wurde 1969 auf die große Freifläche zwischen Fernsehturm, Rathaus und Marienkirche verlegt. er steht unter Denkmalschutz.
English: Neptunbrunnen (Neptune Fountain) in Berlin-Mitte, created 1888-1891 by sculptor Reinhold Begas as one of his most important works. It is an example of the representative Wilhelminian style in art. The fountain was originally situated near the Berlin Palace and was removed to its current location at the open space between the City Hall, the Television Tower and Marienkirche in 1969. The fountain is landmarked. |
