Description
Deutsch: Geschäftshaus in der Mauerstraße 77 in Berlin-Mitte, erbaut 1913-1914 vom Architekten Wilhelm Johow. Das schmale Gebäude mit lediglich drei Achsen zeigt eine Pfeilerfassade wie man sie sonst nur bei größeren Geschäftsbauten sieht. Der Geschäftsbereich in Erd- und erstem Obergeschoss ist deutlich abgehoben von den Büroflächen in den drei folgenden Geschossen. Das Gebäude ist als Baudenkmal ausgewiesen.
English: Commercial building at Mauerstraße No. 77 in Berlin-Mitte, built 1913 to 1914 by the architect Wilhelm Johow. The slender building is characterized by a columned facade more typical for larger commercial buildings. The structuring of the facade shows a clear distinction between the store premises on the ground and on the first upper floor and the office rooms above. The building has been designated a historic landmark.
