| Description |
Deutsch: Polizeidienstgebäude in der Magazinstraße 3-5 in Berlin-Mitte, erbaut 1907-1908 nach Entwürfen des Architekten Paul Graef. Das als Dienstsitz der Berliner Baupolizei errichtete Gebäude besteht aus einem Vorderhaus, zwei Mittelflügeln, einem Seitenflügel und einem Quergebäude und fass vier Höfe ein. Die Fassade, die Stilelemente des Barock und der Renaissance verbindet, ist im Erdgeschoss mit Muschelkalk verkleidet, darüber zeigt sich Verputz mit Werksteinrahmung. Die Mitte ist mit Erkern und Loggien hervorgehoben. Dahinter liegen das aufwändig gestaltete zentrale Treppenhaus und der Sitzungssaal. Das Gebäude beherbergte im Laufe der Zeit unterschiedliche polizeiliche Dienststellen, so in der Weimarer Republik die "Deutsche Zentralpolizeistelle zur Bekämpfung unzüchtiger Bilder, Schriften und Inserate." Heute befindet sich hier das "Referat Verkehrsordnungswidrigkeiten und Bußgeldeinziehung" der Berliner Polizei. |
