Description
Deutsch: Früheres Bürgerhaus und heutiges Mietshaus Am Kupfergraben 5 in Berlin-Mitte. Es wurde 1828-1829 errichtet und besitzt lang gestreckte Seitenflügel. Das Vorderhaus wurde 1868 um ein Geschoss aufgestockt. Die Gartenhof mit altem Baumbestand und Mosaikpflaster ist einer von nur wenigen Berliner Gärten des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts, der in der ursprünglichen Fassung erhalten geblieben ist. Das Gebäude ist als Baudenkmal ausgewiesen.
English: House Am Kupfergraben No. 5 in Berlin-Mitte, built 1828 to 1829 as a town house and now an apartment building. The house has two long side wings. A story was added to the front building in 1868. The garden courtyard with an old tree and crazy paving is preserved in the original style and is in fact one of the few surviving examples of a 19th century garden in Berlin. The building has been designated a historic landmark.
