Miner frieze /other name: ~Memorial to Miners' Martyrs/ by István Tar (1969 stone). Stand before the former headquarters of the Coal Mining Trust, it was one of the first traditional venues for the central mining festivals. The memorial oringinal inscription:In memory of the heroic miners who died in this place on 6 September 1919 as a result of a gendarmerie fire in the fight against oppression... After the Hungarian political changing the inscription has been re-written: "As a reminder of the miners who sacrificed their lives for coal mining in Tatabánya."- Vértanúk Square, Óváros neighborhood, Tatabánya, Komárom-Esztergom County, Hungary

Bányász fríz (egyéb név: Bányász mártírok emlékműve nem összekeverendő Borbála út mentén az egykori temető helyén lévő óvárosi Bányász Kegyeleti Emlékmű-vel) /Felállítás 1969. szeptember 6., Tar István/ Az egykori tatabányai bányavállalat volt főépülete előtti Vértanuk terén álló bányász emlékmű, a központi bányászünnepek egyik első hagyományos színtere. A tér körüli összes épület, üzem gyakorlatilag mind a szénbányászathoz kötődött hajdanán. Az eredeti szoborszöveg: 'Emlékezésül azoknak a hős bányászoknak, akik 1919 szeptember 6-án az elnyomás elleni harcban csendőrsortűz következtében ezen a helyen mártírhalált haltak. E hősök példája lelkesít bennünket szabad hazánk védelmében a szocializmus építéséért vívott harcban. 1969. szeptember.' The author’s name has likewise to be indicated if such creations are used for presentation in scientific and educational lectures as well as for school education purposes (Article 33, Paragraph (4)).
