Notes | View from the balcony at Ekholmsnäs gård across Kyrkviken towards Gråviken at Lidingö. Models; Prince Eugén, Duke of Närke & singer Karin Pyk, close friends to Richard Bergh. The two persons were painted at different occasions; Karin Pyk in Assisi, Italy and Prince Eugén at Ekholmsnäs when he visited Ekholmsnäs during the time Bergh worked with the painting. The two pillars in the painting were actually the pillars on the ground floor that supported the balcony but were used by Bergh to get a better composition. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
