Original billedtekst: Billeder fra Kronprindsens Reise. Parti af Bergen (Efter Photographi af M. Hansen) "Det Billede, man her seer, fremstiller et Parti af Bergen, taget fra Frederiksberg. I Forgrunden har man endeel Huse af Strandsiden og tilhøire Nykirken. I Midten gaar Vaagen med den bekjendte Tydskebrygge og hiinsides den er Bryggesiden, Byens ældste Deel, og Fløifjeldet i Baggrunden. Til venstre på hiin Side af Vaagen seer man Dele af Slottet, først Magazinsbygningen (den fordums prægtige Kongehal), saa længere tilhøire Kommandantboligen og det urigtigen saakaldte Walkendorfs Taarn, hvis ældste Deel er fra Haakon Haakonsøns Tid, medens den yngre er opført mellem Aarene 1563 og 1568 af Erik Rosenkrantz, efter hvem det hele Taarn også lige ind i det forrige Aarhundrede bar Navn. Endnu længere tilhøire omtrent i Billedets Midte hæve sig Tydskekirkens tvende Taarne."
