Description
English: Historic station building of the first Northern German Railway between Hamburg and Bergedorf at "Neuer Weg" in Bergedorf, Germany. Build in 1842. Oldest remaining station building in Germany.
Deutsch: Historisches Bahnhofsgebäude der ersten Norddeutschen Eisenbahnlinie zwischen Hamburg und dem damals eigenständigen Bergedorf. Errichtet im Jahr 1842 ist es heute das älteste erhaltene Bahnhofsgebäude Deutschlands. Während des großen Brandes Hamburgs von 1842, der am Vorabend der Eröffnung der Linie ausbrach, war diese Station die zentrale Anlaufstelle für Helfer, die nach Hamburg zum Löschen herbeiströmten, und für die Versorgung der Verletzten, die mit den Zügen aus der Stadt geschafft wurden.
