English: Bentley's Plantation. A footpath runs along the route of an old railway branch line that ran between the collieries at Shipley and the main line in the Erewash Valley at Shipley Gate Station. Even the 1897 OS map labels the route as "Old Tramway" but even more than 100 years later the route of the line is still visible. |
