Description Interior of the Apollo Room of the Raleigh Tavern in Williamsburg, Virginia, as it appeared during Lossing's visit in the 1850s, as it was about to be renovated (according to the text of the book, hence the tools in the middle). This was shortly prior to its destruction by fire in 1859. From the 1860 edition of Benson Lossing's The Pictorial Field-Book of the Revolution.
