Description
English: Bengali Non-vegetarian thali is a Bengali-style meal made up of a selection of various vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes which are served on a platter. The platter consists of Rice, dal(pulses), brinjal fry, pepe bata(a dish made with crushed papaya), shukto(mixed vegetarian curry), mixed vegetarian curry), rohu fish curry, pineapple chatni( a sweet sauce made with pineapple), dahi(curd), payesh(a dish mainly cooked with rice, milk and sugar). The 'thali' style meal serving is popular in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Malaysia and Singapore.
