Summary
[edit]DescriptionBench mark on St Mary's, Pulford - geograph.org.uk - 1461400.jpg |
English: Bench mark on St Mary's, Pulford This bench mark is on the north west corner of St Mary's church tower. The church was built between 1881 and 1884, designed by Chester's architect John Douglas, and partly funded by Hugh Grosvenor, the first Duke of Westminster. Pulford's ancient church was demolished at that time and therefore the early 1GL cut bench mark and bolt must be presumed to have been destroyed.
The path from the church gate to the north west door can be seen on the left. |
