Belt mount
Description
English: Copper alloy strap or belt mount dating to the post-medieval period (17th century). The mount is roughly triangular in shape with the wide end terminating in a heart shape and the other terminating in a point. At either side of the point there is a small circular loop. The reverse of the mount is slightly hollowed and there are two integrally cast rivets for attachment – one on either end of the mount. The mount measures 34.47mm in length, 15.88mm in width and 6.38mm in thickness and weighs 5.54g.
