Description
English: Maine attorney Belle Ashton Leavitt with her law partner and brother-in-law Fred J. Allen, member of the Maine Legislature. Allen was married to Ida S. Leavitt, Belle Leavitt's sister. Belle Leavitt was the third woman admitted to the Maine Bar Association. Admitted to the Bar in 1900, Leavitt lived in Sanford, Maine. Photographic print from glass negative.
