On the wire: A I2- by i8-inch reduction of the large working map goes on a facsimile transceiver for transmission over the Weather Map Network to all Air Force fields and bases in the country. The process takes about 20 minutes. The machine at the right is standby equipment stance, a general surface weatheranalysis is transmitted four timesdaily.
