All these factorsare carefully coordinated by the tele-phone company supply organizationand the distributing house personnelin preparing the ordering and deliveryschedules. For each town, city, andbuilding, and by principal classes ofsupplies—such as plant supplies, sta-tionery, house service supplies, etc.—the schedules show when each requisi-tion is due at the distributing houseand when delivery will be made. Theordering dates are coordinated withthe delivery routes, so that the sup-plies ordered by the various forcegroups are delivered simultaneouslyto each building. Copies of theseschedules are furnished to all employ-ees who order and return supplies. As an integral part of the distribu-tion job, the telephone companiessupply organizations must also han-dle annually some fifty million dol-lars worth of telephone sets and othersupplies removed from plant, return-ing them to the distributing houses fortesting, repairing and refinishing by
