Figure 6 is a photograph of a B system installation. It willbe noted in this picture that the trend toward relay rack mount-ing has had its effect and this system was mounted in thisfashion. Four bays of relay space were required for one endof a complete three-channel system with its associated testpanels. Advances in Carrier Design Somewhat later, improvements in oscillator design made itpracticable to dispense with the necessity of transmitting de-modulator currents over the line.
