Summary
[edit]DescriptionBelfast Trolleybus 246 at Black Country Living Museum - geograph.org.uk - 836071.jpg |
English: Belfast Trolleybus 246 at Black Country Living Museum The museum has the UK's longest stretch of roadway equipped for trolleybus operation which will remain the case until Leeds gets its planned new state-of-the-art system. In this picture two trolleybuses are standing at the Tram & Trolleybus stop near the museum's Village. The vehicle in front is Belfast 246 a four wheeled Sunbeam dating from 1958. It is notable for being the last trolleybus built for the former extensive Belfast system and being the only 4 wheel vehicle in the fleet. Behind is another Sunbeam, No. 237 of the Derby Corporation fleet dating from 1960. |
