Auch die Produktion der „Beirax“-Reihe („Kamerafabrik Woldemar Beier KG – Freital/DDR“) begann wie die der Precisa vor dem Krieg. 1949 wurde unter schwierigen Bedingungen die Produktion der „Beirax“ (mit Klappsucher) wieder aufgenommen. 1955 erschien diese „Beirax II“, ein verbessertes Modell mit integriertem Sucher. Während die Precisa-Reihe für die Formate 6x6 und 4,5x6 cm konstruiert war, hatte die Beirax 6x9 und 4,5x6 cm zu bieten. Das kleinere Format wurde durch eine Einlegemaske erreicht, auch der Sucher war für beide Formate eingerichtet.. Objektiv und Verschluss waren von einfacher Art: Ein (beim abgebildeten Modell unvergütetes) Meritar 1:6,3/105 mm und ein „Junior“-Verschluss mit 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 Sekunde und „B“. |
