Summary

[edit]
Description Once an import alert is issued, FDA no longer samples and analyzes the targeted product. That burden shifts to the importer, which must prove the safety of its shipment. These photos of FDA staff inspecting papayas grown in Mexico were taken before the import alert went out. Read this FDA Consumer Update: www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm269384.htm
