English: Bedehouses Almshouses on Gospelgate, founded in 1551 and sometimes referred to as King Edward VI's Hospital or Our Lady Bede House as the land formerly belonged to the Guild of St.Mary. The current grade II listed neo-Tudor building is by celebrated and prolific local architect James Fowler in 1868-69.
