Rond het bed figuren uit het Oude Testament. Op de achtergrond door een deuropening is de bruid van Christus te zien die in de stad op zoek is naar haar geliefde. De prent heeft een Latijns onderschrift over het hooglied van Salomo en is de derde prent van een zesdelige serie.
