Belfry in tower of St Michael and All Angels Church, Beckwithshaw, North Yorkshire, England. The legend on the bells says "Mears & Stainbank Founders London". There is no public access to the belfry or roof. Dark and blurred glimpse looking north through frame at tenor bell 6 (Henry). This bell is difficult to photograph as it is fixed deep in the north-west corner of the frame away from the light and surrounded by other bells, wheels, yokes and frame bracings. Bell 6 weighs 13 long cwt 0 qtr 15 lb (1,471 lb or 667 kg) and measures 42.75in. |
