Summary
[edit]DescriptionBeckton STP, Sludge Digestion Tank - geograph.org.uk - 1481947.jpg |
English: Beckton STP: Sludge Digestion Tank The sludge from the 1481890 is combined with that of the 1481916 in these Digestion tanks. Here micro-organisms break down the sludge and greatly reduce the solid content. The final sludge is then disposed of 1481952. The liquid content can be returned to the beginning of the cycle. This process also generates Methane which is used to drive a turbine to supplement the power supply to the plant. |
