English: Beck Isle Cottage. Many visitors to Thornton will recognise this view of Beck Isle Cottage as being one of North Yorkshire's most famous picture postcard views.
This photograph was taken from the end of the slipway on the eastern side of the 439911 near the village centre. The path in front of the cottage is called Beck Isle and links the eastern end of Chestnut Avenue (behind the viewpoint and left) to Priestman's Lane (to the left).
